David McKeever

David McKeever is a political scientist and social movements researcher. He has a BA(Hons) in politics and sociology from the University of the West of Scotland, an MA in political science from the Central European University, an MRes in history from the University of Stirling and a PhD in political science from Ulster University. He is the author of Exiled Activism, a monograph about how exile provides new opportunities for political participation. He has published research on Egyptian pro-democracy activists and on the emerging grassroots movement for independence in Scotland. David is currently focussed on large-n studies of nationalist protest in Scotland.
